Finished beautifully front and back. Signed on the front with my signature in gold pen.
It is painted on the edges so no need for framing.
Protected with a matt sealant to protect against uv light to stop fading.
This piece is hand painted on a box canvas. This painting has many oil/acrylic layers that build up the colours and depth.
This comes ready to hang and shipped in safe & packaging. This painting was completed in 2019.

Waikato Hills NZ Landscape Painting is of a beautiful farm near Pairere (in between Cambridge and Tirau).
I used to work in Tirau, part-time, in a gallery. Every time I drove past this post I thought that I must capture this beautiful farm and on it an incredible homestead. I would like to paint some more scenes from this majestic farmland. It is a well known and admired piece of the waikato landscape.
This particular afternoon I stopped the car to capture the striking afternoon light on the hills. It was just as the sun was carressing the land for the last time that day.
I love the contrast in the colours and every brush stroke brought this painting to life. The most difficult part of this painting was painting on the round canvas and wrapping the image around the sides, especially the tree branches.
For the most part I always want my works to look consistent. Hence only six or seven colours are used in my paintings. I am trying to achieve harmony within the painting and my whole landscape series.
