Finished beautifully front and back. Signed on the front with my signature in gold pen.
It is painted on the edges so no need for framing.
Protected with a matt sealant to protect against uv light to stop fading.
This piece is hand painted on board. This painting has many oil/acrylic layers that build up the colours and depth.
This comes ready to hang and shipped in safe & packaging. This painting was completed in 2020.

Waihi Pohutukawa NZ Landscape Painting is of a beautiful beach in Waihi. This beach is shrouded in gorgeous Pohutukawa Trees. Pohutukawa are known as New Zealands’ Christmas Tree and it is one of my favourite trees to paint.
A good friend took this photo whilst visiting from her homeland of US. She just loves the coastline of New Zealand like I do. Pohutukawa are such an iconic image. I have been searching for a photograph just like this to paint. Once again it has the water and such a striking summer sky. A really enjoyable piece to paint where every brushstroke brought it to life.
This image evokes thoughts of a wonderful summer enjoying the beach under the shade of a Pohutukawa tree – a special time for all of us kiwis.
Futhermore I would like for all of my works to look consistent so I only use six or seven colours in my paintings. I am trying to achieve harmony within the painting and my whole landscape series.
