Symphony of Light: Landscape Painting

Symphony of Light has approval from Jose Gieskes who is the photographer of this image.

I was honoured to receive the Welcome Swallow Galleries Volunteers Award for this painting at the opening evening for the exhibition ‘Winter’s Collection’

I was struck by the light that is coming through the trees and hitting the leaves which are so delicate and intricate.  I was wanting the viewer to feel like they want to journey into the painting and visit the symphony of light and to see what is beyond the vista.

As an artist I am always looking for a challenge and I felt that this image offered this in trying to create a harmonious painting using only shades of green.

A large 40″ x 30″ (1016 mm x 762 mm) Oil Painting on Professional Linen Canvas 1.45″ wide (37 mm).  Finished beautifully front and back.  Signed on the front with my signature ‘McIntosh’ in gold pen and dated.

The painting is protected with a matt sealant to protect against uv light to stop fading and can be carefully cleaned with a damp cloth.

This painting has many acrylic and oil layers that build up the colours and depth.

This comes ready to hang with the edges all being painted to continue the painting onto the sides.
