Finished beautifully front and back. Signed on the front with my signature in gold pen and dated on the back.
It is painted on the edges so no need for framing.
Protected with a matt sealant to protect against uv light to stop fading.
This painting has many acrylic layers that build up the colours and depth.
This comes ready to hang and shipped in safe & packaging. This painting was completed in 2016.

Summer at Scorching Bay: NZ Landscape Painting came about following my acceptance into The New Zealand Art Show in Wellington.
A friend who used to live in Wellington, and who often returns to visit, took this photo with her family along this bay (part of the Karaka Bays).
I thought I would try out a circular piece. The challenge of the painting was all of the foliage and getting the houses/buildings painted to scale.
To create a more contemporary feel however, it should be noted, that the colours have been brightened to give the painting a more contemporary feel.
I love all the areas of interest in this shot and love the colours of nature. I feel that they work so cohesively together. The challenge in this painting was to capture all of the detail in the beautiful old houses but not take away from the seascape.
In addition, clearly a great portion of my paintings involve water. There is something special about being near the sea, surf, lakes or rivers.
Futhermore I always want my works to look consistent. Six or seven colours are used in my paintings. I am trying to achieve harmony within the painting and my whole landscape series.
