It is painted on the edges so no need for framing.
Protected with a matt sealant to protect against uv light to stop fading.
This piece is hand painted on a box canvas. This painting has many acrylic and oil layers that build up the colours and depth.
This comes ready to hang and shipped in safe & packaging. and dated on the back. This painting was completed in 2014.

Roto-o-Rangi Hills: NZ Landscape Painting of a gorgeous morning in Roto-o-Rangi, near Cambridge by Artist Kirsten McIntosh
Roto-o-Rangi Hills: NZ Landscape Painting was captured whilst taking my boys, James and Daniel, on a school trip to visit the amazing birdlife at Maungatautari Mountain. The light was just so striking on the hills that I had to stop and capture the image.
The Waikato has a lot of farmland and lots of hills and mountains nearby. We are very fortunate to have such an amazing backdrop.
My favourite part of this painting is all of the colours in the hills and the sharpness of the light. As I am an amateur photographer, the painting was hard to decipher with the light casting shadows – but as an artist I think it makes it so special.
I particularly like the shape of the image and the canvas size which is long and sleek.
As a rule I always want my works to look consistent. Hence only six or seven colours are used in my paintings. I am trying to achieve harmony within the painting and my whole landscape series.
