A large round 28″ x 28″ (710 mm) acrylic painting on board, finished in a clear layer of poured coloured resin.
Finished beautifully front and back although the resin is slightly gone through the canvas (see photo). Signed on the back with my signature in gold pen and dated.
This painting has many acrylic layers that builds up the colours and depth.
This comes ready to hang and shipped in safe packaging. This painting was completed in 2019. The watermark logo seen in the image is to prevent the image being used without permission.
Please allow one week to process your order, whilst I make sure it is in pristine condition and to create postage packaging for safe shipment. I’ll be in contact with the exact timeframes to ship it to your destination.

Original Resin Contemporary Painting of Medicinal Leaves by Artist Kirsten McIntosh – Medicinal Leaf in Copper and Navy – Resin Round
Medicinal Leaf in Copper and Navy – Resin Round is a new direction for me. I am trying to branch out in to some contemporary paintings and I was inspired by the Australian indigenous paintings. Some talk of the healing powers of the medicinal leaf.
So I attempted to replicate the shape of a leaf with a single brush stroke. I thought to finish this in resin would add a contemporary feel to the piece.
The two colours together with the pop of copper makes it sparkle. To bein with I attempted to create a texture in the drying resin. To make a ripple effect was the idea however the resin kept resisting and going flat. However there is a slight ripple effect in the surface layer.
This piece is finished in a navy layer of resin which is poured over the acrylic painting.
Please note that due to the reflective nature of resin the photograph is showing some reflections.
