For the original painting Copper Navy Leaf I experimented a little with my style and thought a more contemporary piece might be nice to try.
I was inspired by the Australian indigenous paintings. Some talk of the healing powers of the medicinal leaf. So I attempted to replicate the shape of a leaf with a single brush stroke. I have completed quite a few artworks with this same leaf pattern and I have done these in a lot of different colour combinations.
