A large ” (765 mm) Oil Painting on Professional Canvas 1.45″ wide (37 mm)
Finished beautifully front and back. Signed on the front with my signature in gold pen.
It is painted on the edges so no need for framing.
Protected with a matt sealant to protect against uv light to stop fading.
This piece is hand painted on a box canvas. This painting has many acrylic and oil layers that build up the colours and depth.
This comes ready to hang and shipped in safe & packaging. and dated on the back. This painting was completed in 2017.

‘Autumn Light’: A Limited Edition Framed Print 1 of 5 by Artist Kirsten McIntosh
Autumn Light was suggested to paint by a local gallery. This beautiful church is so iconic in the town of Cambridge. Before the new highway, anyone who drove through the main state highway, would see the beautiful church.
The challenge of painting a church was enjoyable, especially getting the lines looking straight and accurate. Furthermore the painting of the leaves of the big oak and the surrounding leaves proved to be time consuming yet rewarding.
I have recently returned to oils and it was lovely to blend the sky so easily. I did this in a lot of layers (using liquin to speed the drying process). Six or seven colours are used in my paintings. I am trying to achieve harmony within the painting and my whole landscape series.
The colours in the sky is what I like the most about the painting and its contrast against the white church.
